Welcome to ListExpenser! Sungoal Developers ("we," "us," or "our") operates the ListExpenser mobile application (the "App"). The App provides tools for expense tracking and list making through two integrated interfaces: the Expense Manager and the List App.

Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, share it, and secure it when you use our App.

By creating an account and using ListExpenser, you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect different types of information to provide and improve the functionality of the App.

1.1 Personal Information You Provide to Us

To use the full features of ListExpenser, you are required to create an account. We collect:

  • Mandatory Information: Your Email Address and Full Name. This is necessary for authentication and account management via Supabase.
  • Optional Information: You may optionally choose to provide a Phone Number or Last Name.

1.2 User-Generated Content and Financial Data

The core functionality of the App involves you inputting data. We collect and store:

  • Expense and Income Data: Transaction amounts, categories, dates, payment methods, and associated notes.
  • Profile Data: Names or identifiers you create for different profiles (e.g., family members) to track their individual expenses.
  • Budgets: Budget limits you set for profiles, categories, or lists.
  • List Data: Items added to shopping or to-do lists, quantities, units, prices, and category sorting preferences.
  • Integrated Data: Information imported from the List App into the Expense App (e.g., converting a completed shopping list into an expense transaction assigned to a specific profile).

1.3 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we may automatically collect certain usage information:

  • Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the App, such as features used, time spent on the App, and error logs. This helps us improve user experience and fix bugs.
  • Advertising Data (For Non-Premium Users): If you use the free version of the App, third-party advertising partners may collect identifiers (like the Advertising ID on iOS or Android) to serve relevant ads.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To manage your account, authenticate your identity via Supabase, store your financial records safely, and enable cross-functionality between the Expense Manager and List App.
  • To create detailed visual reports you request, such as daily/monthly/yearly overviews, category breakdowns, payment method reports, and union/individual reports.
  • To verify your status as a free or Premium ("Pro") user via Apple App Store or Google Play Store receipts, unlocking features like ad-removal, unlimited historical data access, and advanced analytics.
  • For non-premium users, to display third-party advertisements upon app launch or task completion.
  • To analyze usage trends and refine the user interface and features.
  • To respond to your inquiries and resolve technical issues.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a backend-as-a-service provider. We utilize Supabase's authentication and Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure that your data is protected and only accessible to you as an authenticated user.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable. We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with third-party services necessary to operate the App:

  • Backend & Authentication: We use Supabase for database hosting and user authentication.
  • Payments: We use Apple In-App Purchase (iOS) and Google Play Billing (Android) to process payments for Premium features. We do not collect or store your credit card information directly.
  • Advertising Partners: For free tier users, we may use third-party advertising networks to serve ads. These third parties may use tracking technologies to collect data about your device to provide relevant ads.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information and user-generated content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. You may request the deletion of your account at any time, upon which your personal identifiable data will be removed from our live database, subject to any legal obligations.

Important Note: While free users may only view the last 3 months of data in the UI, data older than 3 months remains stored in our database unless you delete it or delete your account, so it is available should you upgrade to Pro later.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or a higher age threshold depending on your local laws). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your data, including accessing, correcting, or deleting your personal information collected by the App. You can manage most of your data directly within the App's settings.

  • Access and update your account information
  • Export your data in common formats
  • Delete your account and associated data

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
